Kevan Allen is a choreographer and creative director whose diverse credits range throughout television, film, theatre, music and corporate events. A versatile skill-set defines his creative reputation that has been cultivated by his many years of experience in creating unique and innovative performances adapted to the specific needs of his clients throughout the world.
Kevan made his choreographic debut at the age of 17 with the conception and creation of “Beauxartz”, the first independent dance company to be featured in a ten week television series for Channel 4 in the UK. He was also the featured choreographer for the British & Russian version of the hit TV Series “Popstars” leading the winning group in both countries to record breaking music industry success as “triple platinum” recording artists.
He has staged and choreographed for many artists including Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones, Bryan Ferry, Duran Duran and Elton John. Currently he has been working with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber as they search for a Dorothy to be cast in a West End production of “The Wizard of Oz” on the BBC TV series “Over the Rainbow”. He previously worked with Andrew to find a Joseph on “Any Dream will Do” and a Nancy and an Oliver with “I’d do Anything”. In addition, he has worked on the television programs “Strictly Dance Fever”, “So You Think You Can Dance” for the BBC, “America’s Got Talent” for NBC, The Graham Norton Show, Top of the Pops, The Brit Awards and the MTV Europe Music Awards.
His corporate clients include varied list such as Nike, Samsung, Wella, The Walt Disney Company, Coca-Cola, Ericcson, Gap, Levis Strauss and Hugo Boss. In addition to being hired as a choreographer for Hugo Boss he was selected to be the face for a global ad campaign. Additional commercial choreography includes Tetley, Johnny Walker Black Label, Centrum Vitamins and Sony PlayStation 2.
He contributed his skills to the feature films “13 going on 30’’ with Jennifer Garner and the Disney animation feature “Chicken Little” as well as the theatre productions Chess in Concert, Sondheim Tonight, The Winslow Boy, Definitely Doris, the Royal Variety Performance, The Night of 1000 Voices and the tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.
His high media profile in the UK continues to make him a sought after commodity for interviews and television appearances.
Kevan currently lives and works between Los Angeles and London.
